Osun Decides: Accord Party agent raises alarm as unknown persons monitor, video voters at polling unit

An Accord Party agent, Ajayi Ayodele, has raised the alarm over the invasion of voters’ privacy in the Ikire area of Osun State.

Ajayi raised the concern amid the ongoing governorship election in Osun State.

Speaking in a live interview with TVC at PU 003, Ward 9, Ikire, Irewole LGA, the party agent accused unknown individuals from the opposition party of monitoring and filming voters as they cast their votes.

While insisting that the development is preventing voters to vote for the candidates of their choice, Ajayi called on the security agencies to intervene to enable a free and fair election.

He said, “My name is Ajayi Ayodele. I’m a party agent for the Accord Party. Right here now, the only issue and observation that I’m raising is the issue of other parties looking at the vote of each voter in the box.

“I have to lodge a complaint right here. Please we need security agencies to do their job, because we the party agents present here were asked to stay one side. They are not party agents. They are neither on the line.

“So what are they doing there? One of them is videoing, picturing whatever people are voting. I don’t know why that is going on,” he lamented.
