Dylan Raiola‘s highly anticipated Oregon football debut could hardly have gone better. He took over for Dante Moore in the second half of No. 21 Oregon’s emphatic 84-0 demolition of Portland State. The Nebraska transfer delivered a flawless performance. He completed all 11 of his attempts for 124 yards and three touchdowns.

Raiola immediately looked comfortable directing Will Stein’s offense. He opened his scoring account with a 13-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Olesh before adding a 17-yard strike to Messiah Hampton. He later connected with Brady Bidwell for a seven-yard touchdown. Raiola’s decisiveness, accuracy, and command provided a glimpse of why his addition generated significant attention. The junior quarterback started nine games for Nebraska in 2025. He completed 72.4% of his passes for 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns before transferring to Oregon.

Raiola’s collegiate career has evolved from a celebrated five-star centerpiece into one of the nation’s most intriguing backup-turned-contender stories. Arriving at Nebraska with massive fanfare in 2024, Raiola started immediately as a true freshman. He threw for 2,819 yards and 13 touchdowns to lead the Cornhuskers back to bowl eligibility. He elevated his efficiency as a sophomore in 2025. Raiola completed a school-record 72.4% of his passes for 2,000 yards, 18 touchdowns, and just 6 interceptions across nine starts. Entering the transfer portal ahead of the 2026 season, the junior signal-caller joined Dan Lanning’s Oregon Ducks.
