Ole Miss fans start profane Lane Kiffin chant during 'College GameDay'

· · 1 min read

It’s no secret Lane Kiffin is public enemy No. 1 in Oxford, Mississippi. The former Ole Miss coach left for LSU before the Rebels’ first College Football Playoff appearance in 2025, and today the Tigers are visiting for a huge SEC clash.

ESPN’s College GameDay is in Oxford for the action, and Ole Miss fans wasted no time in expressing their disdain for Kiffin. A profane chant about Kiffin broke out during GameDay, causing Pat McAfee to lose his train of thought.

As if Ole Miss fans needed any more fuel, Kiffin’s sportsmanship came into question this week over a bizarre saga regarding LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt’s availability. Leavitt, who didn’t appear to get injured against Louisiana Tech, was listed as doubtful Wednesday.

Ole Miss was dubious of Leavitt’s designation, and its doubts proved to be astute as Leavitt will, in fact, be available tonight.

Kiffin brought Ole Miss to heights its reached before, then proceeded to torch his reputation there. We’ll see if it comes back to haunt him tonight.

The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
