Ogun State Government Floods Schools with security ahead of July 13 exams

He strongly cautioned parents against enforcing self-imposed “sit-at-home” closures, warning that uncoordinated panic could derail the state’s harmonised basic education timeline.

The Operation Ko S’aye Joint Command Framework

To institutionalise the security grid, the Ogun State Police Command has partnered with neighbouring Lagos State forces to launch Operation Ko S’aye (“No Room for Crime”).

The task force will deploy intelligence-driven patrols, reinforce school perimeter fences, and enforce strict visitor-screening systems.

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, and the Assistant Commandant of the NSCDC Safe School Project, Adedipe Mobolaji, both confirmed that high-visibility security assets are already positioned around vulnerable schools to respond instantly to any local security indicators.

Promotional Examinations Commencing Monday, July 13

Prof. Arigbabu noted that the security deployment is directly timed to safeguard the 2025/2026 academic promotion examinations.

The testing cycle is scheduled to commence on Monday, July 13, and conclude on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

The Ministry of Education has directed all school administrators to verify that institutional testing centres are fully prepared to deliver a hitch-free examination experience, urging students to maintain optimal discipline and focus as they advance their academic journeys.
