NWFL: C2E Sports Academy, Obosa Queens FA secure Championship promotion
C2E Sports Academy and Obosa Queens FA have gained promotion to the 2027 Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, Championship.
The Aba-based club edged out Obosa Queens FA 2-1 in the final of the NWFL Nationwide at the Enyimba Stadium on Sunday.
The win marks C2E’s first national title since the academy was founded. The club has built its reputation on developing young female talent in Abia State and across the South-East.
The final brought the curtain down on the 2026 Nationwide season.
C2E Sports Academy and Obosa Queens FA will compete in the Championship, the second tier of women’s football in Nigeria, next season.
The clubs will be aiming to push for a place in the NWFL Premiership in the 2026/27 season.
