Borussia Dortmund have signed Ethan Nwaneri on loan from Arsenal, while Bayer Leverkusen have signed Guela Doue.

Nwaneri has joined Dortmund for the duration of the season, with BVB in need of a new winger after Giannis Konstantelias sustained a serious injury in their opening-day win over Hamburg.

The 19-year-old spent part of last term out on loan at Marseille.

He has made 37 appearances for Arsenal, including 26 in the Premier League.

Dortmund’s Bundesliga rivals Leverkusen, meanwhile, have also been active, securing the signing of highly rated full-back Doue from Strasbourg.

Doue, who was of interest to Everton and Paris Saint-Germain, has penned a five-year deal with Leverkusen, who have reportedly paid €30m up front, with a further €6m payable in add-ons.

“I spent two wonderful years in France with Strasbourg,” said Doue.

“But now I want to take the step into the Bundesliga and join a club that really impressed me during our talks. The team is talented and has so many great footballers – I am incredibly excited to play alongside these guys.”

Doue, who played for Ivory Coast at the World Cup, featured 34 times for Strasbourg last season, scoring two goals and providing seven assists.
