NPFL: Sporting win Lagos derby, Barau FC maintain unbeaten streak

Sporting Lagos defeated Inter Lagos 3-0 in their local derby clash at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos on Sunday.

Sodiq Ayoade opened scoring for Sporting Lagos in the seventh minute.

The visitors scored two more goals in the second half through Aliyu Baba, and Valentine Ogwu.

At the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, Barau FC defeated Ranchers Bees 3-1.

The hosts took the lead through Ahmadu Liman one minute before the half hour mark.

Mohammed Rabiu Zulkifilu equalised for Ranchers Bees 10 minutes from time.

Kennedy Otunuya and Sugau Aliyu scored late to secure maximum points for Barau FC.

In Aba, Abia Warriors and Ikorodu City battled to 2-2 draw.

Emeka Obioma bagged a brace for Abia Warriors, while Ilechukwu Junior, and Akorede Adeoye were on target for Ikorodu City.

Bendel Insurance beat 4-2 Kun Khalifat FC in a six-goal thriller at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

The home team led 3-0 through goals from Alex Oweilayefa, Suraju Lawal, and Chinedu Nwosu.

Uchechukwu Onuoha reduced the deficit for Kun Khalifat from the penalty spot in the 68th minute,while Nwosu restored Insurance’s three-goal lead three minutes later.

Oghenetega Ebetomame reduced the deficit for the visitors five minutes from time.
