NPFL: Nasarawa United sign 17 new players for new season
Nasarawa United have fortified their squad with the signing of 17 new players, DAILY POST reports.
The list consists of one goalkeeper, four defenders, six midfielders and six strikers.
The club also promoted two youngsters to the senior team.
The new recruits include Cletus Anthony, who moved from Bendel Insurance; Sunday Dapma from Barau FC; Ahmed Family from Niger Tornadoes; Harrison Ebah from Plateau United; and Buchi Amadi from Kaduna United.
The midfield reinforcements are Uzochukwu Ozorji from GBS Academy, Muhammad Umar ‘Sugar’ from Barau FC, Mayi Seth Ademe from Warri Wolves, Ogbodo Kelechi Emmanuel from Rangers, Abbah Usman Ibrahim from Wikki Tourists and Bitrus Philip from Gombe United.
Others are Austine Onyemaechi from Shooting Stars, Shammasu Mohammed from Barau FC, Dabani Alao from Plateau United and Yakubu Musa David from GBS Academy. Sunday Aluko from Basira FC and Prince Bawa Oche from King’s FC Abuja also joined.
The promoted graduates are Adamu Mohammed Amawun and Sanni Hassan Liman.
The players have been selected to strengthen the team’s push for a continental ticket.
Nasarawa United will lock horns with Barau FC in their matchday one fixture at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Sunday (today).
