NPFL: Boboye explains Bendel Insurance defeat to Abia Warriors

Bendel Insurance technical adviser, Kennedy Boboye, has admitted that his side were punished for their poor first half performance in the clash against Abia Warriors.

The Benin Arsenals suffered a 3-0 loss to Abia Warriors at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday.

Chukwuemeka Obioma grabbed a brace for the Umuahia-based club, while Etta Ikoi added the third.

Boboye said his team failed to perform to expectations.

“We played badly in the first half and were punished,” Boboye was quoted by completesports.

“That’s football for you. When you don’t meet the standard, your opponent punishes you.”
