NNL: Lobi Stars release 18 players after promotion miss

Lobi Stars have released 18 players following the completion of the 2025/26 Nigeria National League, NNL, season.

The list includes Orya Joseph, Daniel Abah, Atavti Samuel, Eyigege Pius, Achiv Douglas, Eru Jackson, Amia Kenneth, Ingbila Henry, Ofem Emmanuel, Itim Paul, Yanmar Moses and Iorliam Eric.

Bello Raji Egigogo, Edeh Chukwuebuka, Amara Christian, Ifeanyi Ezema, Jonathan John Abu and Okoh Chukwuma complete the list.

Meanwhile, Lobi Stars have retained 17 players for the 2026/27 campaign.

Kumaga Suur, Kwambe Solomon, Odinaka Francis, Akile Monday and Iteji Jimmy are among those retained.

Onah Peter, Agugu Benjamin, Foga Dominic, Imenger Barnabas Jnr, Kongbenda Joseph, Uja Manasseh, Sunday James, Atsaka Daniel, Egiga Valentine, Afeez Yusuf, Azeez Tijanni and John Akende will also remain with the team.

The Pride of Benue missed out on promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after finishing outside the qualification spots in the 2025/26 NNL season.
