NNL: Akwa United announce end-of-season break

Akwa United have announced an end-of-season break for players and officials of the club.

The Promise Keepers made the announcement in a statement on Friday.

Chairman of the club, Mr Joseph Eno said players and officials proceeded on break from Friday, June 5, 2026.

Eno said that the break will allow players and officials time to rest and recover ahead of next season.

Akwa United narrowly missed out promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.

Eno admitted the club was disappointed not to achieve its target but expressed confidence they will get it right next season.
