Midfielder Toby Ritzema headed the home side in front after 20 minutes following a cross from winger Sammy Henia-Kamau.

And Ritzema netted his second eight minutes later after being put through, slotting home past Ashford keeper Liam Allen.

Bulls defender James Carr was sent off for a second yellow card after 34 minutes and teammate James Sunley followed him five minutes later after being shown a straight red card.

The visitors managed to pull a goal back after 80 minutes through Jack Arnold.

But Bulls keeper Euan Van der Vliet made a crucial save with three minutes of normal time remaining as the home side hung on to secure all three points.

Jersey Bulls remain unbeaten with seven points from their opening three league matches and are fifth in the early-season table, three points off leaders Hendon.
