Nigeria at 66: Tinubu reviving Nigeria’s dying economy – Akporeha

The former National President of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, Prince Williams Akporeha, said that although President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inherited a collapsing economy, he has started reviving it.

He made this disclosure on Sunday in Delta State ahead of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day anniversary on October 1, 2026.

According to him, while it is not yet uhuru for Africa’s most populous country, the Tinubu administration is on the right track.

He urged Nigerians, especially youths, to look beyond political distractions and acknowledge the progress already being made.

“Although President Tinubu inherited a collapsing country, he has shown the boldness to revive the dying economy so it can grow again and yield prosperity,” Akporeha said.
