Niger Governor Bago appoints six new commissioners, four advisers

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has approved the appointment of six new commissioners and four political advisers.

The appointments were contained in a statement issued on Monday by Abubakar Adamu Kuta, Publicity Officer in the Office of the Secretary to the Niger State Government.

The newly appointed commissioners are Lucky Barau from Gurara Local Government Area; Isah Wakili from Bosso; Dr Isah Adamu from Kontagora; Emmanuel Alamu from Magama; Shuaibu Saidu Kaboji from Mashegu; and Mohammed Danladi Garba from Borgu.

Governor Bago also appointed Nma Kolo as Senior Special Adviser on Political Affairs.

Yahaya Emilugi, Yusuf Tagwai and Salman Yusuf were appointed as political advisers for Senatorial Districts A, B and C respectively.

The Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Usman, said the appointments were aimed at strengthening governance, improving service delivery and ensuring broader representation across the state.

The newly appointed commissioners are expected to appear before the Niger State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation in accordance with the law.
