NFL world roasts Rams for getting blown out by 49ers in Week 1

The Los Angeles Rams lost five games last season by a total of 17 points. In their first game of 2026, they were blown out by the San Francisco 49ers, 27-7.

It was an embarrassing showing for the Super Bowl favorites, getting absolutely steamrolled by Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers in Australia. Was it jet lag? A lack of preparation? Just some poor execution? No matter the reason, the Rams couldn’t have started the year in worse fashion.
