NFL Power Rankings 2026: How do the Titans fare heading into Week 4?

The Tennessee Titans came incredibly close to getting their first win of the season in Week 3, but New York Giants cornerback Jevon Holland had other ideas. As Cam Ward walked the Titans down the field on the final drive, it looked like it was going to be a game-winning touchdown drive. Had it panned out, it would have been the biggest moment in Ward’s career.

Unfortunately, rather than finding a target in the end zone wearing a white jersey, Holland came across the end zone and grabbed the ball out of the air for an interception. The Titans lost 12-7.

This marks the second game in a row where the Titans had a legitimate opportunity to win a game, but couldn’t get the job done when it mattered the most. Their chances of having a winning season are slowly dwindling, and things won’t get easier when they face the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium in Week 4.

As we enter Week 4, here’s a look at where the Titans place in a multitude of power rankings.

Cam Ward’s final pass on Sunday was dispiriting. The Giants didn’t score a touchdown, so Tennessee’s defense did its job. Finally, in the fourth quarter, the Titans’ offense woke up and had the ball inside the 10-yard line with a chance to take a lead in the final minute. And on first down, with two timeouts left, Ward had room to run but instead forced a pass that went right to safety Jevon Holland for an interception. Game over.

“He’s out in the open, I’d just be smarter with the football,” Titans head coach Robert Saleh said. “We’ve got two timeouts left, it’s first-and-goal at the 8, we’re going to score, you don’t have to force it in that situation. Unfortunately it happened.”

Saleh sounded exacerbated. Saleh was asked if Ward would be benched and he said no, but it has to be a consideration if Ward doesn’t improve. Ward is 30th among 34 qualified quarterbacks in adjusted EPA (expected points added) per play. Last season, he was 52nd of 60. There hasn’t been any tangible progress.

Granted, the game was short on fireworks on both sides, in part due to the nor’easter that smacked the east coast. But the Titans haven’t been moving the ball regardless of the weather. Cam Ward is either unable or unwilling to challenge defenses down the field—the second-year signal-caller averaged five yards an attempt at Met Life. Tennessee entered the week with a bottom-five offense and will leave it the same way.

The team at least finally got first-round rookie Carnell Tate involved offensively. But after back-to-back three-win seasons, 2025 was supposed to be a year of improvement in Nashville.

At this rate, the Titans will be lucky to “improve” to 4-13. And Ward’s lack of development has to be unsettling to the team.

Fantasy surprise: WR Wan’Dale Robinson

There really wasn’t much expected fantasy-wise for any Titans players, but Robinson drew interest (rostered in 64.4% of ESPN leagues) primarily because he had 90-plus receptions in each of the past two seasons in New York under Brian Daboll (the current Titans OC). But through three games, Robinson has 13 receptions on 18 targets for 104 yards and a touchdown. He was targeted 11 times against the Giants, so maybe a turnaround is on the way.
