NFL Monday Night Football best bets Week 3

Monday Night Football in Week 3 of the NFL season features an intriguing matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears. Chicago’s quarterback situation adds another layer: Caleb Williams is dealing with a hamstring injury and won’t play. It does present some solid opportunities to find value in some Bears props, though. Here are four player props worth considering.

Dontayvion Wicks has quickly become an important part of Philadelphia’s passing attack and has already shown the ability to make explosive plays. He ranks second among Eagles wide receivers in targets, catches, and receiving yards through two games, while his 14.7 yards per target leads all wide receivers with at least 10 targets. Chicago has also allowed the NFL’s fourth-highest explosive-pass rate at 22.4%.

With Philadelphia likely looking to attack a vulnerable Bears secondary, Wicks has a strong opportunity to clear 42.5 yards.

Saquon Barkley appears ready to return to his normal workload after dealing with a stinger in Week 2. He practiced in full Friday and was removed from the injury report Saturday, officially clearing him to play Monday night.

Barkley has only 92 rushing yards through two games, but this is a good opportunity for the Eagles to get their star running back going. Chicago has allowed 122 rushing yards per game, ranking 22nd in the NFL.
over 155.5 passing yards

Case Keenum is expected to make his first start in years under difficult circumstances, but the low passing-yardage line gives him plenty of room to clear the number. Williams has been ruled out, while Bagent remains in the concussion protocol, leaving Keenum in line to start if Bagent cannot clear the league’s protocol.

Chicago could fall behind and be forced to throw throughout the second half, creating volume for Keenum.

Rome Odunze has five catches for 95 yards through two games, and the Bears could need him more than usual with their quarterback situation unsettled. Even if Keenum starts, Chicago will need to throw the football against an Eagles defense that should force the Bears into obvious passing situations.

Odunze has caught at least two passes in each game this season, and getting to three receptions does not require a massive performance.
