The Boston Celtics have been linked to Giannis Antetokounmpo in trade rumors, and those rumors have intensified in the last couple of weeks.

Bill Simmons recently reported that he heard the Celtics have made an offer to the Milwaukee Bucks for Antetokounmpo. It is safe to assume Jaylen Brown is involved in that offer, and that the Bucks would likely trade him to a third team. It would essentially take a three-team trade to make Antetokounmpo a Celtic since the Bucks reportedly have no interest in keeping Brown and building around him.

Plenty of teams would be interested in jumping into the deal and taking Brown, netting the Bucks more young assets and picks. The Atlanta Hawks have been a popular team mentioned in rumors, but according to NBA insider Grant Afseth, the Los Angeles Clippers have suddenly entered the mix.

“A potential multi-team trade framework making the rounds in league circles would bring Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Boston Celtics and send Jaylen Brown to the Los Angeles Clippers, with the Clippers’ No. 5 overall pick going to the Milwaukee Bucks as part of the return, sources told Dallas Hoops Journal,” wrote Afseth on Sunday.

The Bucks would surely entertain this deal as it nets them a top-five pick in the upcoming draft. Afseth noted that it is just one of several structures that are being talked about, but that the Clippers should be seen as one of the real contenders to be the third team involved in a potential Celtics and Antetokounmpo deal.

“Sources framed it as one of several structures being modeled around an Antetokounmpo move, not a deal that is close,” wrote Afseth. “Boston would land the star it has been tied to in recent weeks, the Clippers would add Brown, and Milwaukee would come away with a high lottery pick as it starts over.”
