Nebraska flips Missouri linebacker commit Caleb Green

Nebraska football flipped a former Big 12 rival’s commitment. Three-star linebacker Caleb Green flipped from the Missouri Tigers over the weekend.

Green is the 59th-ranked linebacker and the 11th-ranked player in his class from the state of Missouri, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Green currently plays at Lee’s Summit North High School, where he had a massive junior season in 2026, recording 145 total tackles, including 14 tackles for loss. He had 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and two pass breakups.

Assistant head coach Jamar Mozee deserves a tip of the cap in this recruitment here. Mozee was the head coach at Lee’s Summit from 2015 to 2023. He left as the winningest coach in program history with a 64-35 record and four conference championships.

He held the position until 2023, leading them to a 64-36 record. He is now the assistant head coach for the Huskers, and the connection between the two programs is paying dividends.

This commitment is the 18th one in the class. The class itself ranks 16th overall in the country, according to the Rivals Team Rankings. Green is the second linebacker in the class, joining Eli Harris.
