NBC Sports reveals Wisconsin vs. Notre Dame Shamrock Series announcers

The struggling Wisconsin Badgers football program has a chance to pull off an incredible upset in Week 1.

It’s no secret that Notre Dame earned a No. 4 ranking in the preseason AP Poll, but that doesn’t automatically mean the Badgers can’t come out victorious.

This game is being played at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI, so while it’s a neutral-site matchup, there’s a strong chance this sold-out crowd will heavily favor the Badgers.

Wisconsin shocked the world in 2016 when they took down No. 5 LSU, so here in 2026, they have a chance to do the same, this time against the Fighting Irish on NBC.

NBC Sports recently revealed the announcers for the Shamrock Series, a group that includes the returning Dan Hicks (play-by-play), Jason Garrett (color commentator), and a new sideline reporter, Caroline Pineda.

Hicks first became the Notre Dame play-by-play commentator in 2013, but he was replaced by Mike Tirico from 2017 to 2023.

Garrett, a three-time Super Bowl Champion, began his broadcasting career in 2022.
