NABTEB sets September deadlines for 2026 exam registration

The management of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board, NABTEB, has fixed Thursday, September 10 and Wednesday, September 30, 2026, as registration deadlines for its 2026 November/December examinations.

DAILY POST reports that the examinations include the National Business Certificate (NBC), National Technical Certificate (NTC), Advanced National Business Certificate (ANBC), Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANTC), and the December Modular Trades Certificate Examination.

The management disclosed this on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin City by its Assistant Director, Media/Protocol, Uchechukwu Olisah.

Olisah said registration for the examinations commenced on Monday, August 10, 2026.

He said the commencement of registration followed a directive by the Board contained in an internal memorandum dated August 7, 2026, and signed by the Director, Examinations Administration, Chigoziem Susan Metu.

He added that registration for the November/December NBC/NTC and ANBC/ANTC examinations would close on Thursday, September 10, 2026, while registration for the December Modular Trades Certificate Examination would end on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

The NABTEB Assistant Director, Media/Protocol, said the approved registration fees for the examinations were N22,500 for NBC/NTC, N25,500 for ANBC/ANTC, and N6,000 for the December Modular Trades Certificate Examination.

Olisah urged prospective candidates, schools, technical and vocational institutions, apprenticeship centres and other relevant stakeholders to commence and complete the registration process within the stipulated period.

The examination body also advised prospective candidates and members of the public to obtain registration information only through NABTEB’s authorised channels.

Olisah further advised prospective candidates to comply strictly with the approved registration requirements to avoid errors, delays or complications in the registration process.

He said the examinations are part of NABTEB’s continuing mandate to provide credible, competency-based assessment and certification in business and technical education.

According to him, the examinations will also support the development of skilled manpower and promote technical and vocational education and training (TVET) as a pathway to economic empowerment and self-reliance.
