‘MVP race, we are here’ – Patrick Mahomes leaves fans amazed with performance in win over Colts

Patrick Mahomes’ performance in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 33-30 OT win over the Indianapolis Colts was one to behold.

Mahomes went 32 for 47 on pass attempts for 382 yards, three TDs, and a passer rating of 114.0. He also added 17 yards on two carries as a rusher in an incredible performance.

It was the most yardage Mahomes has gotten in a game since 2023, making some fans forget that he is nine months removed from a torn ACL and still looking like his best self.

The Chiefs improved to 2-0 on the season, and Mahomes improved his personal record in OT games to 9-0, with fans in awe of the performance.

“NEVER A DOUBT. Patrick freaking Mahomes, 281 days after tearing his ACL, he throws for 381 yards and looks all the way back. 2-0, and will only get better on both sides of the ball,” said Nick Wright after the game.

“Tonight…officially declaring Patrick Mahomes is back. Kelce looks better than he ever has, and the Chiefs can run the ball,” said one fan, proclaiming the Chiefs as title contenders.

“If you just watch Patrick Mahomes, it’s impossible to argue that any QB is better. Then you consider all the rings. Game over,” said a fan.

“That’s why you just play for the touchdown and the win when you get the ball. 10/10 times that’s gonna be the result if Mahomes has 3 minutes and only needs 3,” said one more fan.

Mahomes has averaged 283 passing yards through the first two games and 2.5 passing TDs. As a rusher, he has had nine total carries for 40 yards and one touchdown.

If Mahomes’ form carries on like this and the Chiefs are among the best records in the NFL, another MVP win could be on the cards for the 31-year-old QB.
