MVP QB wants Kansas City Chiefs HC Andy Reid to sign Pro Bowl receiver

During a recent episode of his 4th and 1 podcast, former NFL quarterback and Most Valuable Player Cam Newton explained why Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid should immediately call free agent wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

“Speaking of opportunity, if you were to ask me what I think about it, Mr. Andy Reid, brother, go out there and get Stefon, brother, because you’re talking about business, brother, and when you talk about stars,” said Newton, “A star that took over the NFL in 2024, was who? Taylor Swift took over the NFL in 2024. Who took over the NFL in 2025? (Cardi B) You got two shooting stars, that would be good for business, brother.”

Aside from the pop culture reasons, Diggs was a key contributor for the New England Patriots last season during their run to Super Bowl LX. During the 2025 season, he finished with 85 catches for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns.

Diggs started all 17 games for the AFC Champion Patriots. The 32-year-old is still a threat on the field and continues to get projected connections to Kansas City.
