MSU star PG Jeremy Fears Jr. listed on Naismith Trophy Preseason POY Watch List

Michigan State basketball’s top player has been named to a notable preseason watch list.

Jeremy Fears Jr. received a notable honor on Monday, landing on the Naismith Trophy Preseason Player of Year Watch List. The Naismith Trophy is annually awarded to the top college basketball player for the season.

Fears has been widely considered one of the top players entering the season, with Fears even earning national player of the year preseason honors. He returned for his senior season after exploring an opportunity of playing in the NBA this season.

In the Spartans’ season-opener on Monday, Fears recorded a double-double. He finished the game with 13 points and 11 assists — both of which led the Spartans in their 96-59 victory over Quinnipiac.
