It will be their first home match of the Champions League season, a match where the past will collide with the present and future: the Special One against Gasperini.

The Grugliasco-born coach also spoke recently about the Portuguese coach’s experience with the Giallorossi: “José is a special person, special people manage to achieve success beyond the pitch, because on the pitch he won a Conference title and reached a Europa League final. He may not have performed as well in the league, but he was highly regarded by the fans, so he has something special.”

In the last few hours, positive news has arrived from the infirmary for José Mourinho, who was at risk of losing several players ahead of the match against Roma.

Indeed, as reported by amp.sport.es, the Real Madrid coach has recovered Mbappé, Konaté, and even Valverde. The latter seemed to be recovering more slowly, but he’s now fully recovered and will be available to the Special One.

Three key recoveries for Mourinho, who will be able to field them in the next La Liga match scheduled for Saturday, October 10th, against Villarreal.
