MLB Playoffs: Atlanta Braves lock up No. 3 seed, will host Wild Card series

The Atlanta Braves have officially locked up the National League’s No. 3 seed for the MLB playoffs.

The Braves were in contention for No. 2 seed and a first-round bye, but missed out on it following a series loss to Cincinnati.

As the No. 3 seed, Atlanta will host the No. 6 seed in the NL Wild Card Series starting Sept. 29. Tickets are available here.

So far, the San Diego Padres and Chicago Cubs have clinched a wild card spot. The final spot is between the Philadelphia Phillies and Arizona Diamondbacks. The order between the three Wild Card spots is still to be determined.

The Braves will learn sometime this weekend who they will face. If Atlanta wins the Wild Card series, it will advance to the National League Division Series and play the No. 2 seed Los Angeles Dodgers.
