If the Pittsburgh Steelers have made a final decision about the team’s logjam at the quarterback position, nobody has told Mike McCarthy.

Before practice on Monday, McCarthy denied a report late on Friday that the Steelers have decided to keep both young quarterbacks Will Howard and Drew Allar on their 53-man roster, saying he feels the team’s final two preseason practices this week and last game, against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, will factor into the decision.

“I haven’t been a part of any conversations about the 53 that’s been decided already,” McCarthy said flatly.
