Michigan State's Kristen Kelsay breaks down hot start to 2026 season

Michigan State volleyball is off to one impressive start to begin the season. After a 9-0 start to nonconference play, including four wins against power conference opponents, the Spartans are 1-1 in Big Ten play, including a win over No. 14 Penn State.

The Spartans are in the midst of Kristen Kelsay’s second season as the head coach of the Spartans program, and after an 18-12 year, Michigan State is on pace to shatter that mark.

On Monday, Kelsay spoke to the media, where she broke down where her team is at and where they need to improve in order to continue their hot start to the 2026 season.
