Kemps is a massive 6-foot-6 left shot defenseman that is expected to be on Michigan State’s campus for the 2027-28 season as a 2008 born player. A native of Sebastopol, California, Kemps played this past season for the Chicago Steel of the USHL, but will be joining the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL for this upcoming year.

Michigan State will continue to load it’s cupboards with high level talent and it is staying relevant in this NHL Draft.

With the 98th overall pick of the #NHLDraft we’ve selected Jonas Kemps!
