Michigan State football's top 10 rated players in CFB 27
College football fans are just weeks away from the release of EA Sports’ College Football 27. The video game franchise has taken the sports’ fanbase by storm since its return in 2024.
Another quirk of the video games return is the addition of real life players and using their names and likeness in the game. Michigan State is included in that, with a majority of their whole roster being featured in the video game.
As a team, Michigan State comes in as an 80 overall, and just one player at a 90 overall and above. To see the full rankings of everyone on the Spartans roster, click here.
Here, we are going to reveal the top ten rated players for the Spartans to begin CFB 27:
The UConn transfer clocks in as the Spartans highest rated transfer, and he will be expected to do a ton for the team on the field. Fans can also expect him to do a ton in the video game, ranking as a 90 overall.
Michigan State’s defensive leader is also their highest rated defender on the video game. The senior linebacker checks in as an 86 overall.
The return of Charles Brantley in East Lansing, after taking a transfer year to Miami, he is highly thought of by EA Sports, getting an 85 overall.
Michigan State got a massive boost when McCray decided to spend a second year in East Lansing. Anticipated to be the No. 1 wide receiver for the Spartans, the EA Sports team also sees the potential value McCray has with an 85 overall.
Transferring in from Iowa, Dakin is known to Spartans fans with his punting skills, battling Ryan Eckley for numerous awards over the last two years. Now, the Spartans have the former Hawkeye leading their special teams.
Another prized UConn transfer, Murawski is expected to lead the Spartans as its left tackle in 2026. He checks in as an 83 overall, with the expectations being high this season.
Ben Roberts is the Spartans anchor in the middle of the defense, and checks in as one of the top rated players on the defense in the game with an 83 overall. The former Oregon transfer is expected to take a big step in 2026.
Murawski will be the anchor on the left side of the OL, and Moore will be the anchor on the right side. The former FCS All-American is staying in East Lansing and is ready for another step forward.
The Buffalo transfer was one of the highest rated and most productive transfers that the Spartans acquired this offseason. With the ability to be an LB or an edge, Crawford checks in as an 82 overall.
A leader of the MSU defense, Martinez rounds out the top ten as an 81 overall. Martinez coming back will be a major boost for MSU in 2026.
