Micah Parsons’ offseason Packers prediction is looking worse by the day

Micah Parsons is yet to play a single snap of the 2026 NFL season, but he has remained active during the offseason in voicing his thoughts.

The Green Bay Packers defender was also spotted on the sideline during Thursday night’s loss against the Atlanta Falcons.

Through the opening three weeks of the season, the Packers have given up just over 30 points per game as they sit on a 1-2 record.

Of course, improvements will be expected when Parsons returns from his long-term knee injury, but his offseason prediction for the Packers is not looking good already.

Having allowed 91 points through their opening three games, it is apparent that this Packers defence is nowhere near the best in the league.

Questions will be asked given the strength of sides also faced in their opening three games, with Parsons admitting earlier in the year he expected the Packers to have one of the best defences in the league.

Having initially ranked the top five defences in the league as the Houston Texans in first, Denver Broncos in second, Green Bay Packers in third, New England Patriots in fourth, Los Angeles Rams in fifth, Parsons squeezed the Seattle Seahawks in at number four.

“I definitely did forget about Seattle. I wouldn’t put them at two, though. I’d rather bump them to four and throw the Patriots. Patriots are six,” Parsons said.

Not only do Parsons’ high expectations for his Packers look completely wrong, but he ranked the Seahawks below Green Bay.

The Seahawks came into this season on the back of an incredible, Super Bowl-winning year for their defence.

Seattle head into their third game of the season as the second-best defence in yards allowed per game, with the Packers all the way down as the 11-worst.

Mike Macdonald has established himself as the top defensive-minded coach in the league, which will certainly leave Parsons’ rankings are amusing for those in the Pacific Northwest.
