Two years after he was traded by the Miami Marlins to the New York Mets at the 2024 MLB trade deadline, Huascar Brazoban is a reliever in demand again.

This time, the Mets are the sellers. Who are the buyers? Brazoban is apparently finding out soon.

Coincidentally, the Mets are playing the Marlins on Aug. 2. In the middle of the game, SNY cameras spotted Brazoban hugging teammates and coaches — often a sign that a player is the subject of a trade soon to come to fruition.

Brazoban, 36, is 5-2 with a 2.61 ERA in 36 games out of the Mets’ bullpen this season. The right-hander boasts a 96.8 mph fastball, making him an easy addition to any contending team’s bullpen.

In four seasons (2022-26) with the Mets and Marlins, Brazoban is 17-10 with a 3.50 ERA.
