Massachusetts high school football tournament brackets

On Sunday, Nov. 1 at 1 p.m., the MIAA will announce the eight playoff fields for the high school football state tournaments.

The top-16 ranked teams with at least three wins in each division qualify for the playoffs. All eight state champions from last year are back in the playoffs and trying to defend their title this season. On the South Shore, Scituate (Division 4), Cohasset (Div. 7) and Randolph (Div. 8) will all be trying to repeat as champions (the Sailors are going for a three-peat).

The Super Bowls will be held at Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, at a date and time to be determined.

The first round of the playoffs kick off on Friday, Nov. 6. The quarterfinals will take place on Nov. 13 and the semifinals on Nov. 20.

We’ll update this page at 1 p.m. when the brackets are released.
