The MCU timeline is currently in the midst of its final projects in the Multiverse Saga, with only a handful of series and movies left to release before it comes to an end in 2027 with Avengers: Secret Wars. However, a new era is on its way, as the mutants will finally be getting the spotlight in the next phase.

Marvel Studios’ X-Men reboot is turning down the heat, as it was revealed by Deadline that Ben Wang, known for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, is circling the role of Iceman in the film. While Disney has yet to comment on the report, the trade also noted that Gabriel LaBelle, Jackson Kelly, and Rhenzy Feliz were seemingly in the running for Bobby Drake. For Feliz, he previously starred as Alex Wilder in the Runaways TV series, which ran for three seasons under the original Marvel Television era.

As he will be boarding the Hunger Games franchise this month in the Sunrise on the Reaping installment, Wang is also known for his work in Karate Kid: Legends, where he starred as Li Fong, along with major films like The Long Walk. If he joins the Phase 7 film, it would mark the young actor’s latest big Disney project, after headlining American Born Chinese on Disney+.
