Mark Bowman joins the parade of stars for 2026 USC football team

The USCTrojans have had multiple freshmen deliver breakout games to start this season. Every game has been a showcase game for freshman Trent Mosley. Kayden Dixon-Wyatt had his big game last week. Mark Bowman, another highly sought recruit, joined the party in Game 3 against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns. My breakout star of the game is Mark Bowman.

The tight end had been slowly getting more involved in the Trojans’ offense the previous few weeks. He started as a guy who was creating open lanes for his teammates. He focused on winning and dominating as a blocker. He managed to get a small number of catches in the first two games of the season.

Against Louisiana, it was a priority to unlock Bowman. He finished the game with 6 catches for 83 yards and 2 touchdowns. He looked like George Kittle in the first two games, and in this game he looked more like his comparison, Brock Bowers. He will gain a lot of attention, but having a weapon at tight end like Bowman opens the door for the offense to be unstoppable. Even the best defenses will have their hands full with a Trojans team that has Mark Bowman.

Mark Bowman is super athletic, and he is extremely versatile. He can line up as a wide receiver out wide and also has the physicality of a tight end. He can beat coverage in more ways than just 1. Lincoln Riley is just getting started with Bowman, and this breakout game will turn into a normal game for Bowman.
