Armstrong could be considered for Chip Ganassi Racing if Scott Dixon leaves the organization, as reported by FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass. The driver of the No. 66 car used to drive for Chip Ganassi Racing before he moved to Meyer Shank Racing. Armstrong has been strong during the 2026 IndyCar season.

Dixon could consider leaving Chip Ganassi Racing with Arrow McLaren as the presumed favorite. It would be a shocking development, but one that could land Armstrong back at Chip Ganassi Racing. For now, Armstrong will focus on earning his first career IndyCar win with Meyer Shank Racing in 2026.
