Many fans are saying the same thing about Kelsey Mitchell after breaking WNBA record

Kelsey Mitchell was once again impressing for the Indiana Fever in their recent meeting with the Dallas Wings.

Despite Mitchell being the star of the show again for Stephanie White’s side, the Fever still fell to defeat on the night, bringing an end to their mini winning streak.

But regardless of the result, Kelsey made history after she managed to score 20+ PTS for the 21st game in a row, which is now an all-time WNBA record.

She passed the previous record set by A’ja Wilson, and many fans are now calling for her to be the MVP of 2026.

One fan tweeted in response to the record: “MVP without a doubt.”

A second commented: “@WNBA You have the MVP for this season.”

“I know Caitlin Clark is the face of the WNBA, but Kelsey Mitchell is MVP over Caitlin,” added a third.

Another wrote: “Kelsey Mitchell need that MVP trophy,” with a fifth stating: “This right here proves Kelsey Mitchell is the MVP of the Fever.”

A sixth tagged the Fever player to write: “Unbelievable… MVP @Kelz_Hoop.”

Mitchell will face some stiff competition to be named the WNBA MVP this year.

A’ja Wilson, whose record Kelsey surpassed this week, is among the favourites to win the award.

Olivia Miles and her Indiana Fever teammate, Caitlin Clark, could also be in the running alongside Paige Bueckers.
