Manchester City consider Iliman Ndiaye

· · 1 min read

According to The Guardian, Manchester City have identified Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye as a potential transfer target as Enzo Maresca looks to strengthen his attacking options before the window closes. Everton are understood to value the Senegal international at around £80 million, having been impressed by his performances since joining from Marseille in 2024.

City’s interest has intensified following the departures of Savinho and Omar Marmoush, leaving Maresca keen to add further depth and quality in the final third. The Italian is said to be a long-time admirer of Ndiaye, who has established himself as one of Everton’s most important attacking players and has also become a regular for Senegal at international level.

No deal is considered imminent at this stage, and Everton’s valuation could prove a major obstacle. The Merseyside club remain reluctant to lose one of their key performers and have him under contract until 2029.

City have already completed a deal for Palmeiras winger Allan Elias and continue to monitor other attacking targets, including Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo, but Ndiaye has emerged as one of the standout names on their shortlist as Maresca reshapes the squad ahead of the new season.
