Man Utd youngster Fredricson joins Lausanne-Sport in permanent deal

Manchester United confirmed Tyler Fredricson will now embark on a “new adventure” after completing a permanent move to Lausanne-Sport on Thursday. 

Fredricson has agreed to a three-year contract with the Swiss Super League, ending a long association with United, who he joined at under-nine level. 

The 21-year-old made four first-team appearances for the Red Devils and was handed his Premier League debut in a 1-0 defeat to Wolves in April last year. 

With his appearance, the 2024-25 campaign was the second season that United had given four Premier League debuts to English players aged under 21. 

Fredricson made further appearances across all competitions against Brentford, Grimsby Town and Newcastle United. 

“United is all that Tyler Fredricson has ever known. But now it’s time for a new adventure,” United said in a statement on social media. 

“Tyler departs with our thanks for his contributions and best wishes for the next chapter.”

Fredricson played in every round of United’s 2022 FA Youth Cup campaign as the side reached the final, but illness prevented him from featuring against Nottingham Forest.

Lausanne finished ninth in the Swiss Super League last season, and they hope to progress this term following July’s appointment of new head coach Luka Elsner.
