Man United suffer another PL setback as torrid stat emerges

Man United’s nightmare start to the 2026/27 campaign looks set to continue against Bournemouth.

The Red Devils came into Sunday’s game without a win in seven and following a heavy 4-1 Champions League defeat at Como.

Michael Carrick’s side showed few signs of turning things around at Old Trafford and left in-form Cherries’ attacker Rayan to tap in a simple finish on 38 minutes.

Just five minutes later, United found themselves 2-0 down as Marcus Tavernier tapped in from close range.

The quickfire double summed up United’s defensive issues this season.

With the team booed off at half time, where do Man United and Michael Carrick go from here?
