Man accuses APC senatorial candidate Oden Ewa of attack, attempted abduction
A man has accused the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for the Central Senatorial District, Hon. Oden Ewa, of attacking him alongside his associates and allegedly ordering that he be injected and taken away.
The man made the allegations in a video recorded at a hospital, where he also showed some people he claimed sustained injuries during the alleged incident and were receiving treatment.
According to him, he managed to contact his brothers, who arrived at the scene and rescued him.
“So I am right here at the hospital. The candidate of APC attacked me this morning with his boys. By God’s grace, I had to call my brothers who came to my rescue because the plan was to inject me and take me away,” he alleged.
He further claimed that Ewa’s associates seized his phones and other belongings after his brothers arrived at the scene.
The man also alleged that he heard one of the men telling Ewa that he should be injected, although he said he did not know what substance was allegedly intended to be administered.
“If people no dey around me today, them for kpai me,” he said in Pidgin English, suggesting that he believed he could have been killed if people had not been around to help him.
He linked the alleged attack to an earlier meeting with Ewa, claiming that the politician had told him he could not criticise him.
According to him, he would seek to obtain and release evidence from the meeting to substantiate his claims.
He also vowed not to apologise to the APC candidate.
“I will not apologise to a corrupt politician,” he said.
Ewa had yet to respond to the allegations as of the time of filing this report.
DAILY POST could not independently verify the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident.
