Maghnes Akliouche is due in Paris for his medical before completing a transfer from Monaco to Paris Saint-Germain, according to L’Équipe.

Monaco has accepted a €50 million offer for the attacking midfielder, while Akliouche is expected to sign a five-year contract running until June 2031. He could officially become a PSG player once he completes the medical and signs his deal.

The medical is scheduled to take place across Thursday and Friday. PSG then expects the 24-year-old to join his new teammates at the beginning of next week.

PSG reportedly needed five offers to convince Monaco to sell one of its most valuable players. The agreement represents a major step forward from the earlier interest surrounding Akliouche, who had also been linked with several Premier League clubs.

Liverpool was among the teams following the French international, and Akliouche previously suggested he could leave Monaco during the summer transfer window. PSG has now moved ahead of the competition by reaching an agreement directly with Monaco.

Akliouche developed in Monaco’s academy before establishing himself in the senior team. He recorded seven goals and 10 assists across all competitions during the 2025/26 campaign, showing that he can create chances as well as finish attacks.

He can operate as an attacking midfielder or from the right side, where he often moves inside to combine with central players. His technical quality, close control and ability to carry the ball should give PSG another option in several attacking roles.

Akliouche had been under contract with Monaco until June 2028, allowing the club to demand a substantial fee. The accepted €50 million proposal reflects both his existing first-team experience and the potential for further development in Paris.

Status: Monaco has accepted PSG’s €50 million offer, and Akliouche is due in Paris for his medical. He is expected to sign through June 2031, but the medical, contract signature and official announcement remain pending.
