Speaking in a recent interview with Cool FM Lagos, the ‘Pana’ crooner said he believes people grew fatigue of love after spending more time than usual with their lovers in 2020 due to the COVID-19 lockdown.

He also claimed that marriages stopped working after 2020, and infidelity skyrocketed.

He said, “I think since after 2020, love is not the same. I think during the lockdown people got to spend time with their lovers and realised ‘maybe I didn’t love this person as much as I think.’ I think we just grew fatigued of the ones we thought we loved the most.

“If you can’t appreciate the absence then the presence doesn’t really matter. So, I feel like since 2020, people have leaned into not wanting to love as much. Marriages don’t work. You have some of our legends’ wives being chopped by young boys.

“There was a time when love was a thing, even our movies revolve around love. But now movies are just clout. It doesn’t feel organic.”
