Fabian Hurzeler insists Yankuba Minteh is “fully committed” to Brighton amid interest from Liverpool.
Liverpool are in the market for a winger ahead of next week’s transfer deadline, with Bradley Barcola and Ismaila Sarr also mentioned as potential targets.
The Reds have reportedly already seen two bids for Minteh rejected by Brighton, with the second said to be worth £60m, as the Seagulls hold out for £70m for the 22-year-old.
Among Premier League forwards since the start of 2024-25, Minteh has completed the fourth-most dribbles (111) and fourth-most take-on ending carries (139).
He leads all Brighton players in both categories in that time, while also creating the most chances (73) and recording the third-most direct goal contributions (17 – nine goals, eight assists).
Despite Liverpool’s interest, Hurzeler is confident Minteh will remain at Brighton this season.
“He is a player for Brighton and at the moment there is nothing else to say,” said the Seagulls boss.

“I admire from him that when this window is closed that he is fully committed to this club.
“Of course, there are always dreams of players and there are some wishes for players but in the end we always need to figure what is best for the club.
“Therefore we had an exchange with him, at the moment he’s definitely a Brighton player, I can’t say anything more so let’s see what happens.”
Minteh has missed the start of the 2026-27 season with injury, and will be sidelined when Brighton face Chelsea on Sunday.
Brighton have won their last three Premier League games against Chelsea, netting exactly three goals each time.
The last team to score 3+ goals in four consecutive league games against the Blues was West Ham, between 1972 and 1974.
