Liverpool interested in Kevin Schade
According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool have emerged as one of the leading contenders to sign Kevin Schade, with the Brentford winger viewed as a potential solution to a key issue in Andoni Iraola’s squad.
The report claims Liverpool are considering a move as early as the January transfer window. Schade has enjoyed an impressive start to the season, scoring three goals in his first five Premier League appearances and helping Brentford climb into the top four.
Brentford are currently in talks with the 24-year-old over a new contract, but negotiations have yet to produce an agreement. A failure to reach fresh terms could increase the possibility of a transfer, with the club reluctant to see the value of one of their most important assets decline.
Liverpool’s interest said to be driven partly by the need for additional quality on the right side of attack. The club are still searching for a long-term solution following Mohamed Salah’s departure, and Schade’s versatility is seen as a major attraction. Although he often plays on the left for Brentford, he is also comfortable on the right wing and through the middle.
Arsenal are also said to be monitoring Schade, while Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have been credited with interest as well.
