Lille reach an agreement to loan Nottingham Forest’s Dilane Bakwa

Nottingham Forest winger Dilane Bakwa (23) looks set to join Lille OSC on a season-long loan, according to a report from Foot Mercato.

Bakwa left RC Strasbourg Alsace last summer to join Nottingham Forest in a deal worth €35m, however, it was a difficult season for the Premier League side, who frequently chopped and changed managers. In that context, Bakwa struggled to settle. He was limited to 24 games in all competitions; he registered just two assists in that time. The former France youth international did not take part in Nottingham Forest’s Premier League opener over the weekend.

And now he could be set for a return to France, Foot Mercato understands. A verbal agreement has been reached between Nottingham Forest and Lille for a season-long loan. The final details need to be arranged before the French winger can complete his surprise move back to Ligue 1. With LOSC, Bakwa will have the opportunity to compete in the UEFA Champions League.
