‘Let’s go’ – Eagles fans react to Tom Brady announcement ahead of Sunday’s opener

Tom Brady has been announced as the co-commentator for the Philadelphia Eagles’ opening game against the Washington Commanders.

The NFL season officially gets underway on Wednesday night in a Super Bowl rematch up in the Pacific Northwest.

But Eagles fans will have their eyes set on Sunday’s game at Lincoln Financial Field against their NFC East rivals.

It was a disappointing end to the 2025 season for the Eagles after being dumped out of the playoffs by an injured San Francisco 49ers team.

Brady will officially be there in Philadelphia for their season-opener, with fans responding to Fox Sports’ decision to send him out with Kevin Burkhardt.

Over the years, Brady has proven himself to be a big admirer of Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, having previously labelled him as ‘unstoppable’.

On Sunday, the NFL legend will get to see Hurts live in action against the Commanders, which has Eagles fans delighted.

‘Eagles by a million they always win with Tom casting,’ said one fan on X after hearing the news.

‘Tom knows what’s up. He got that Linc fever,’ replied another.

Brady made his Super Bowl announcing debut during the Eagles’ victory over the Kansas City Chiefs back in February, 2025.

The NFL legend has certainly improved as a commentator since starting up, with this fan delighted ahead of Sunday: ‘Perfect commentator duo to start the year. Can’t wait!’

‘Tom brings the Eagles good luck when he announces,’ another Eagles fan added.

Brady is now involved with the Las Vegas Raiders as a co-owner, but the AFC West team are unlikely to feature in any of the Sunday games to hit Fox Sports’ broadcasting schedule.

‘Let’s gooooo cuz we always win when Brady commentates lol,’ one Eagles fan joked.

‘Tom is a closet Eagles fan cuz of Hurts,’ said another.
