There are multiple possible reasons for the dragging out of LeBron James’ free agency.

One of them is a bit more intriguing than the rest: What if there are other moves on the table that will work like a domino effect?

A former NBA championship teammate of LeBron with the Lakers, Markieff Morris, has that theory.

He posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday with three names and a couple of teams. He didn’t state whether it’s a prediction, or knowledge that he has from inside information.

All Morris shared was this:

Harden to Phx! Jalen green to Cleveland. Bron to Cleveland!

James Harden is technically still a free agent at the moment. So for this to happen, the Cavs would have to work a sign-and-trade that sent Harden to the Phoenix Suns and got the athletic guard Jalen Green back.

And then, with Green coming to town, so would James.

A backcourt of Green and Donovan Mitchell is fascinating. It’d be a bit undersized, and maybe not great defensively, but they’d be offensively imposing.

A starting lineup rounded out by King James, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen would make for one of the best first fives in the league.

There hasn’t been any kind of Green to Cleveland buzz before this, so it’s a fascinating pull by Morris, whether it’s real intel or just a random prediction.

A lot of folks have shared info in recent days as if they know things. So far, that hasn’t seemed to be the case. The basketball world will wait to see if Morris proves to be different.
