LaLiga: Perez defeats Riquelme, officially re-elected as Real Madrid president

Florentino Perez defeated Enrique Riquelme in Real Madrid’s presidential election conducted on Sunday.

This victory means Perez will be re-elected to continue in his role with the LaLiga giants.

According to Marca, he won after around 70% of socios voted for him.

Perez’s victory will now see the official announcements for José Mourinho, Ibrahima Konaté and Denzel Dumfries.

Mourinho, who has left Benfica, is likely to be presented at the Santiago Bernabéu in the next few days.

In the past days, Perez also claimed he will submit a €150 million offer for a “galáctico-like player”.
