With the 2026 NBA Draft now a thing of the past, franchises have begun making intriguing undrafted free-agent signings that could turn heads. 

The Los Angeles Lakers are among the organizations that have done just that, as they made a splash by signing a 6-foot-5 sharpshooting guard who led his college team to a perfect 31-0 record.

“Sources: The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a two-way contract with MAC Player of the Year Peter Suder,” HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reported on X/Twitter. “He led Miami (OH) to a 31-0 regular-season record and shot 42% from three-point range this season. Keith Kreiter and Sam Cipriano of Edge Sports completed the deal.”

After an impressive junior campaign with the Redhawks, Suder undoubtedly saved his best for last at the collegiate level. The Carmel, Indiana, native used his physical, methodical downhill driving approach and fluid perimeter shooting to enjoy a remarkable senior campaign in the MAC.

Suder averaged 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game on a Miami (OH) squad that reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2007, shooting 54.6% from the field and 42.1% from long range. 

Needless to say, Suder figures to be a good fit on a Lakers squad looking for another three-point oriented perimeter stud or two to pair with their franchise point guard, Luka Doncic.
